USK Youth Protection regulations

As an exhibitor, you are fully responsible according to the German Youth Protection Act for ensuring that your stand and presentations meet German youth protection requirements. Observance will be monitored by the regulatory authorities during the trade fair. In order to ensure consistent and unified implementation, Koelnmesse has worked together with the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK) to create the rules described in the document "Youth Protection Information for gamescom exhibitors 2017". These rules apply to all gamescom exhibitors.

Stand construction regulations and waiting queue management

null

Important information: Due to safety reasons, sufficiently sized zones for possible queues inside the stand have to be taken into consideration when planning the stand. The consideration of waiting zones outside of one´s own stand space is not permitted.

Furthermore, stages, their location and set-up, as well as the scheduling of program highlights, are subject to approval by Koelnmesse. This includes all types of events with public appeal, especially including appearances by popular YouTube celebrities, etc. We therefore ask you to identify the stand areas and show highlights for which a particularly large number of visitors are expected in your stand plan documentation, detailing locations and times, and to submit these at the latest 8 weeks prior to the event for examination. In your own interest, we urgently recommend that you submit the documents even earlier to allow time for any alterations to be made should these be necessary for safety reasons. Please send the plans to Koelnmesse, for attention of Mr. Martin Deißler, Event Technology and Approval, e-mail: m.deissler@koelnmesse.de .

Please see the conditions of participation special section (.pdf) of gamescom and the measure profile for waiting queue management for further information.
