Women in Tech Day

Statement and mission

The Women in Tech Day is the annual gathering of women and people supporting women and greater diversification in games, in the creative and tech industries, held during gamescom. The Women in Tech Day is a common space and forum for women working in all areas of technology including the games industry, IT, digital and other technology industries.

The Tech Industry has a poor record when it comes to gender diversity and given that tech is the future, this must change. The Women in Tech Day's mission is to inspire women to collaborate on innovative solutions by providing learning and networking opportunities, to open minds to new ideas by pushing boundaries, to promote diversity in technology industries, to advocate technology and to celebrate the female role models who have chosen a career in tech and who inspire others to do the same.

The Women in Tech Day at gamescom is an initiative of BIU and gamescom by providing the network and experience of executive women, entrepreneurs and technology thought leaders from the corporate and entrepreneurial global worlds.

The event is packed with dynamic and forward thinking content for the up to date tech professional and will offer opportunities to meet, mingle with and listen to some of the most inspiring people of the industry.
